The Lord's Flagship Temple

There's nothing like it! The Salt Lake Temple reserves a place in our heart where the tender mercies from the Lord are stored.

Out of Heavenly Father's billion upon billion sons and daughters, we have had the privilege and great blessing to have been called to serve there. We have witnessed the miracles that were bestowed upon God's faithful children who have entered therein. Our feet have walked in hallowed rooms and halls where God's presence is felt.

Heaven and earth blend together in the Lord's Holy House, making the mortal veil thin and glimpses of eternity possible, as we are instructed in the Lord's university on The Creation, The Fall, and The Resurrection. All that is contained therein testifies of our loving Heavenly Father and His Son, Jesus Christ. All that transpires within those sacred walls is made available to us because of the atoning sacrifice of our Savior. All sacred ordinances are available at all of the Holy Temples across the earth; All Holy Temples are the House of the Lord.

The Salt Lake Temple houses the additional distinction of containing the upper rooms where the Lord's Prophet and Apostles meet, and for that reason, there's nothing like it!

I love that there are opportunities to see the Salt Lake Temple from all different angles. Here in Twin Falls we can see the temple from the ground, looking up- that's about it. And you can barely see it at all unless you're within a square mile (that's one thing I miss about Logan.)

We love being reminded that those opportunities to view the Salt Lake Temple from varying sides and venues do not happen by chance, but are a part of the out-pouring of the Spirit upon God's sons and daughters in the last days! Thank-you for noticing a seemingly small detail that in reality brings great blessings to the eye of the beholder! Thank-you for helping all of us to see that our opportunities are precious gifts from God!
